Connie Martinez, better known professionally as Connie, is an American singer of
freestyle music and dance-pop. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, she aspired to
perform since childhood. Her debut single, “Funky Little Beat”, was released in
1985 under the executive production of Henry Stone and co-producer Amos Larkins
II. In 1986, Martinez released her debut studio album, Connie, under Sunnyview
