Walter Clayton Crossnoe, known professionally as Clay Crosse, was born on February 11, 1967, in Memphis, Tennessee. He started his career working as a courier for FedEx before transitioning to music full-time. Crosse released his debut album, My Place Is With You, in 1994, which included the successful single "I Surrender All".
