Claude McKenzie, born on March 11, 1967, in Matimekosh, Quebec, Canada, is a Canadian singer of Innu descent. He began his musical journey at a young age, learning to play the guitar in Maliotenam near Sept-Îles. His early influences included Philippe McKenzie and Florent Vollant, with whom he formed the group Kashtin. The duo gained popularity across Quebec throughout the 1990s before disbanding.
