Chuck Redd
Chuck Redd, born September 10, 1958, is an American jazz drummer and
vibraphonist. He began his professional career at age 21 by joining the Charlie
Byrd Trio. His early work includes touring with The Great Guitars featuring
Barney Kessel, Charlie Byrd, and Herb Ellis. His extensive career highlights
include performances with Mel Tormé All-Star Jazz Quintet from 1991 to 1996, a
concert with the Dizzy Gillespie Quintet in Africa for the Namibian Independence
Celebration, and appearances on The Tonight Show. He has released several
