Christine Ebersole, born on February 21, 1953, in Winnetka, Illinois, is an
American singer and actress. She began her career with a minor role in the
romantic comedy Tootsie (1982) and portrayed Caterina Cavalieri in the Academy
Award-winning film Amadeus (1984). Ebersole made her Broadway debut in the play
Angel Street (1975) and won two Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Musical for
her roles in 42nd Street (2001) and Grey Gardens (2006). She was also
