Christiane Karg, born in 1980 in Feuchtwangen, Germany, is a German operatic
soprano. She began her musical education at a young age with piano and flute
lessons, later receiving vocal training from Heiner Hopfner at the Mozarteum
Salzburg. Her early career saw significant milestones, including winning the
Bavarian State Prize for Singing in 1994 and 1996. She made her debut at the
Salzburger Festspiele in 2006 with roles in the operas Apollo und Hyacinth and
Die Schuldigkeit des ersten Gebots. Her operatic roles include Susanna in Le
