Chris Walker, born in 1968 in Houston, Texas, is an American singer and musician
known for his contributions to Contemporary R&B and Soul music. He began singing
before he could speak, starting his musical journey as a member of the family
gospel group The Walker Brothers. Walker's unique style includes playing the
bass guitar upside down, inspired by Jimi Hendrix. Walker moved to New York City
in 1987 where he became Ornette Coleman’s bassist for two and a half years
