Chris Foster, born on April 23, 1948, in Yeovil, Somerset, England, is a folk
singer and guitarist known for his interpretations of traditional and
contemporary songs. He trained as an artist at the Norwich and Chelsea Schools
of Art before embarking on his music career. His professional breakthrough came
in the early 1970s when he was spotted singing at Dingles Folk Club in London,
leading to eight years as a solo folk singer/guitarist. Foster recorded two
