Chiens de Paille
Chiens de paille was a French hip hop duo from Cannes, formed in 1992 by rapper
Rodolphe Gagetta, known as Sako, and producer Sébastien Alfonsi, known as Hal.
The duo initially focused on graffiti art before transitioning to music. Their
breakthrough occurred in 1998 with the single “Maudits soient les yeux fermés”,
which was featured on the soundtrack of the film Taxi. This exposure led to
their signing with the label 361 Records, owned by Akhenaton of the group IAM.
