Cherry Vanilla
Kathleen Dorritie, known professionally as Cherry Vanilla, was born in Woodside,
New York, on October 16, 1943. She is an American singer, songwriter, publicist,
and actress. In the early 1970s, she worked as a publicist for David Bowie
through MainMan LTD, employing unconventional marketing strategies. After
leaving Bowie's team in 1974, Cherry Vanilla formed her first band with Kasim
Sulton and later created Cherry Vanilla & Her Staten Island Band, which was one
