Charlie Parr is an American country blues musician born on January 1, 1967, in
Austin, Minnesota. Influenced by artists such as Charlie Patton and Mississippi
John Hurt, he began his recording career in 2002 with the albums Criminals &
Sinners and 1922. He achieved international prominence when the track “1922” was
featured in a Vodafone television advertisement, leading to an Australian tour
with Paul Kelly in 2009. His music appeared in the 2010 film Red Hill, which
