Chanelle
Charlene Renee Munford, known professionally as Chanelle, is an American singer
born in Virginia and raised in Newark, New Jersey. She moved to New York City to
study law, but dropped out to perform in musical theatre and give jazz and blues
concerts in supper clubs. In 1988, she signed with Profile Records and released
the single "One Man" in 1989. The track reached number 16 on the UK Singles
Chart in March 1989, leading to a performance on Top of the Pops on March 16,
