Ricardo González Gutiérrez, known as Cepillín, was a Mexican clown, television
presenter, and singer. He initially worked as a dentist and created the persona
of “Cepillín” to help children feel less afraid during dental visits. His early
exposure came through dental hygiene campaigns broadcast on Canal 12 in
Monterrey, which led to a children’s television program that aired from 1971 to
1977. Throughout his career, González released albums including Cepillín Night
Fever (1978) and Children’s Rock (1980). Cepillín passed away on March 8, 2021,
