Caro
José Tollenaar, known professionally as Caro Josée, was born on February 24,
1958, in Gießen, Germany. She began her music career at 16 with the skiffle band
Leinemann. In 1977, Caro released her debut album It's Nothing But Higher with
The JCT Band, which included the cover "Child of the Moon" by The Rolling
Stones, and earned her the Deutscher Schallplattenpreis for Best Newcomer
National in 1978. She then pursued a solo career, releasing albums such as Caro
