Capullo de Jerez
Miguel Flores Quirós, born April 3, 1954, in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, known
artistically as El Capullo de Jerez, is a Spanish flamenco singer. Raised in the
barrios of Santiago and La Asunción, he absorbed local rumbas, tangos, bulerías,
fandangos, and martinetes. His early performances in Manuel Morao's Jueves
Flamencos led to appearances in Madrid tablaos beginning in 1985. Flores
released his debut album, Poderío, in 1989 and followed with releases including
