Known for their politically provocative lyrics, Puerto Rican Latin rap band Calle 13 were formed in 2004 by step-siblings René Pérez Joglar, who uses the name Residente, Eduardo José Cabra Martínez who goes by Visitante, and Ileana Cabra Joglar also known as PG-13. They gained attention with a song that protested the killing of a Puerto Rican rebel leader and their first single 'Se Vale Tó-Tó' reached number 19 on Billboard's Tropical Songs Chart.
