Burlap to Cashmere is a contemporary Christian world music band formed in 1994
by cousins John Philippidis and Steven Delopoulos. The group originated from a
college theater show at Marymount Manhattan College, where Delopoulos invited
his then-14-year-old cousin to join him. Their breakthrough came with the
release of Live At the Bitter End EP in 1997, followed by their debut
full-length album Anybody Out There? in 1998 under A&M Records. The band's
