Broadcast
Broadcast, an English electronic band, was founded in 1995 in Birmingham by
vocalist and multi‑instrumentalist Trish Keenan and bassist James Cargill. After
meeting at a local club, they released the 7″ single "Accidentals" in 1996 and
the EP The Book Lovers the same year. Their debut studio album, The Noise Made
by People, arrived on Warp Records in 2000, followed by Haha Sound in 2003,
which reached number 8 on the U.S. Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart, and Tender
Buttons in 2005, the first album recorded solely by Keenan and Cargill.
