Brantley Keith Gilbert, born January 20, 1985, in Jefferson, Georgia, built his career by combining contemporary country songwriting with the weight and attitude of Southern and hard rock. After developing his craft in Georgia and working as a songwriter in Nashville, he signed with Average Joes Entertainment and released A Modern Day Prodigal Son in 2009 and Halfway to Heaven in 2010.
