Blackwave.
blackwave., also known as “blackwavedot”, is a Belgian hip-hop duo from Antwerp.
Formed in 2016, the ensemble consists of producer Willem Ardui and rapper
Jean-Valéry Atohoun. The band released its debut recording, the EP Mic Check, in
2017. Their recording history also featured the studio album Are We Still
Dreaming? (2019), which reached number 4 on the Belgium Top 200 Albums chart.
That same year, the ensemble was nominated for the MTV Europe Music Award for
Best Belgian Act. In 2022, the group issued the studio recording No Sleep in LA,
