Bjøro Håland, born on October 6, 1943, in Audnedal, Norway, is a Norwegian
country music singer. He began performing at age five and emigrated to the
United States at 17, where he entertained in bars. His music career started with
the album To My Friends, released in 1979. He released 22 albums, which sold
over four million copies, including collaborations such as Wembley 1980 (1980)
with Anne Engh & Country Snakes and solo albums like Min stetson og gitar
