Billy Wayne Yates is an American country music artist. Inspired by artists such
as Jim Reeves and Ernest Tubb, Yates began performing from a young age and later
developed his career through work as a songwriter and demo singer. In the early
1990s, he secured his first songwriting publishing contract with Hori Pro
Entertainment, which led to George Jones recording two of his songs for the 1992
