Big Scary is an Australian musical duo formed in Melbourne in 2006 by Tom Iansek
and Joanna Syme. Originally a folk-influenced act, the duo released their debut
self-titled EP in 2008 and the single “The Apple Song”. In 2010, they compiled a
series of seasonal releases into the collection The Big Scary Four Seasons. The
group reached a wider audience with their 2011 debut studio album, Vacation,
which peaked at number 37 on the ARIA Charts. Their 2013 follow-up, Not Art, won
