Norberto "Beto" Quintanilla Iracheta, known as Beto Quintanilla, was born on May
23, 1948, in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico. He began composing poems and songs at
a young age but left school after one year of secondary education to work
alongside his father. His musical career started when he met musicians who
played bajo sexto and accordion, leading him to write songs for various groups.
Throughout his career, he released numerous albums including El Ondeao and
Pobreza Infeliz.Quintanilla died on March 18, 2007.
