Bell Marques
Bell Marques, born Washington Bell Marques da Silva on September 5, 1952, in
Salvador, Brazil, is a celebrated singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist,
best known as the frontman of the legendary axé band Chiclete com Banana. He
began his musical journey in 1979, performing on his brothers' trio Os Elétrons,
which became a staple of the Carnival scene in Brazil. In 1980, he officially
joined the band Scorpius, which later became Chiclete com Banana in 1981. With
the group, he achieved massive success, becoming one of Brazil's most
