Beat was a Finnish pop music band formed in 1979 in Turku. The group represented
Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest 1990 with the song "Fri?", composed by
Kim Engblom, Tina Krause, and Janne Engblom, with lyrics by Stina
Engblom-Colliander. This marked the first time a Finnish entry was sung in
Swedish at the contest. Their performance featured backing vocalists Kari
Kuivalainen and Robin Wikman. They received 8 points, placing joint last at
