Bakkushan
Bakkushan, a German alternative‑rock group formed in Mannheim in June 2007 by
Daniel Schmidt, Christian Kalle, Robert Kerner and Jan Siekmann, emerged from
the students’ Popakademie Mannheim where Daniel Schmidt first wrote the demo EP
Springwut that would launch the band. After a successful first tour of 40
concerts in 2008 and a win in the Jägermeister Rock: Liga Video Contest, the
quartet signed with EMI Virgin Records in 2009 and released the single "Baby, du
siehst gut aus" on 12 July 2009, followed by the debut album Bakkushan on
