Badmarsh & Shri
Badmarsh & Shri were an English electronic dance music duo formed in London,
comprising DJ Mohammed Akber Ali, known as Badmarsh, who was born in Yemen, and
tabla player Shrikanth Sriram, known as Shri, who hails from India. After
Badmarsh’s early work at a reggae studio and a residency at the club Labyrinth,
and Shrikanth Sriram’s five‑year tour with Nitin Sawhney, the pair were brought
together by Shabs of Outcaste Records, who believed their distinct sounds would
