Babel Fish was a pop rock band from Oslo, Norway, formed in the late 1980s by
Tarjei van Ravens, Halvor Holter, and Odd Jensen. Initially working as studio
musicians, they released their first single, "Light of Day" (1996), under the
name Daily Planet. After changing their name to Babel Fish, inspired by Douglas
Adams' The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, they signed with Atlantic Records
and released their debut album, Babel Fish (1998). The album featured the hit
