Formed by producers/synthesists Ian Boddy and the late Mark Shreeve (also of
Redshift fame) in the late 1990s, ARC were a DIY electronic duo hailing from the
UK, known for use analogue synthesizers and creating soundscapes adjacent to
ambient, synthwave and electronica. The pair released their debut album Octane
in 1998 and became stalwarts of the UK's experimental electronic scene with
successive releases such as Blaze (2003), Umbra (2014), Arclight (2015), Fleet
