Originally from Trinidad, Anthony Joseph (b. 1966) now lives in London, where he
has formed his own group, The Spasm Band. His music, a hybrid of folk, blues and
"black rock" with poetic lyrics, makes him the heir to Gil Scott-Heron. Bird
Head Son is his nickname, and the title of a successful second album released in
2009. In 2011, Rubber Orchestra is recorded with The Spasm Band, while his
collaboration with Meshell Ndegeocello is at the heart of Time in 2014.
