Anri Kumaki, born on January 27, 1982, in Japan, is a Japanese pop
singer-songwriter. She began writing songs at the age of 17 and achieved her
breakthrough when she won an audition for a TV program broadcast by Nippon
Television in 2001. Her debut single "Madoe" ("窓絵") was released in February
2002, followed by "Sakazutote" ("咲かずとて") later that year. Anri Kumaki's first
album Sappūkei ("殺風景") came out in March 2003, followed by Mu kara Deta Sabi in
2005 and Kaze no Naka no Kōshin in 2006. Her songs have been used for various TV
