Angelo De Augustine, a Californian singer‑songwriter and guitarist born in
Thousand Oaks, grew up in a family of musicians that later saw his father leave
when he was five. A teenage goal to become a professional soccer player ended
with injury, leading him to music. In 2014 he self‑produced Spirals of Silence
and toured, followed by Swim Inside the Moon (2017) recorded in a bathtub on a
1970 four‑track tape and released through Asthmatic Kitty. NPR highlighted
