Angelica Sanchez (born 1972) is an American jazz and post-bop pianist and
composer from Phoenix, Arizona. Following piano and composition studies at
Arizona State University (1990–1994), Sanchez relocated to New York City in
1994. She established a long-term collaboration with saxophonist Tony Malaby and
drummer Tom Rainey, recording live albums in Brooklyn in 2003. Sanchez released
her debut album as a bandleader, Mirror Me, in 2003, featuring Michael Formanek.
