Angel Forrest, born Angel Gareth Forrest on March 11, 1967, in Pointe-Claire,
Quebec, is a Canadian singer-songwriter and producer. She began her musical
career in 1988 with the album Secondhand Blues, which featured several classic
blues tracks and immediately garnered critical acclaim. Her breakthrough came
with the live album Angel Sings Janis Live, a tribute to Janis Joplin, released
in 1997. Forrest's first original album, Here for You (2005), sold over 30,000
copies and was followed by notable releases such as Mother Tongue Blues (2013)
