Alter Bridge was formed in Orlando, Florida, in 2004 by Myles Kennedy (lead
vocals, rhythm guitar), Mark Tremonti (lead and rhythm guitar), Brian Marshall
(bass), and Scott Phillips (drums). After Creed’s inactivity, Myles Kennedy
joined the trio, and the band debuted with the single "Open Your Eyes" in June
2004, followed by the EP Fan EP in November 2004. Their self‑titled debut album
One Day Remains was released in August 2004, reaching Number 5 on the U.S.
