Alpha
Alpha is a trip-hop duo associated with the Bristol scene, where they first made
a name for themselves in 1997 with their debut album Come From Heaven. Their
ethereal, lyrical and melancholy music, inspired by film scores as well as
global songwriting references (from Jimmy Webb to Scott Walker), has built up a
strong following over the course of their decade-long career. Unfortunately,
Alpha's recognition has often been hampered by problems of distribution and
promotion outside insider circles.
