Aloysio (also spelled as Aloísio) de Oliveira was a Brazilian singer, musician,
musician, voice actor, radio host, and lyricist. He began playing guitar at a
young age and formed Bando da Lua in 1929, recording early material for
Brunswick Records. The group achieved early recognition in 1930 with recordings
for Odeon Records, followed by a prolific period with RCA Records from 1932 to
1939. In 1939, Bando da Lua toured the United States with Carmen Miranda. After
