Allan James Clayton, born 1981 in the United Kingdom, is a tenor who began as a chorister at Worcester Cathedral before studying at St John's College, Cambridge. He entered the public eye as a BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist (2007‑2009) and first appeared on record in Verdi's Otello conducted by Sir Colin Davis, released in 2010.
