Alkistis Protopsalti, born Alkistis-Sevasti Attikiouzeloglou on October 18, 1954 in Alexandria, Egypt to Greek parents, is a singer. In the early 1960s, she moved with her family to Athens due to political events in Egypt. Her music career began in the mid-1970s with the release of her first albums Τετραλογία (1975), Κύκλος Σεφέρη (1976) and Εργατική Συμφωνία (1976). Subsequent albums include Απλά Τραγούδια (1977), Μανιάτικα (1980), and Σαν Ηφαίστειο Που Ξυπνά (1997), which sold over 100,000 copies.
