Alcione Dias Nazareth, born on November 21, 1947, in São Luís, Maranhão, Brazil,
began performing at age 13 under the guidance of her military bandmaster father,
mastering trumpet and clarinet and captivating local audiences. At 20, she moved
to Rio de Janeiro, appeared on TV Excelsior, and toured Argentina and Chile
before a two-year European tour from 1970 to 1972. Upon returning to Brazil, she
