Alberto Barros
Alberto Antonio Barros Caraballo, born on November 30, 1957, in Barranquilla,
Colombia, is a Colombian music producer, composer, arranger, trombonist, and
vocalist. He entered formal music study at the Conservatory of the University of
the Atlantic at age 14, later refining his skills in harmony and orchestration
in Medellín. He began performing trombone and bass for Colombian orchestras,
including Fruko y sus Tesos, Joe Arroyo, Pacho Galán, and Adolfo Echeverría,
before serving as arranger and director for Grupo Niche for 14 years. In 1982,
