Adam und die Micky’s, a German dance band from Germany, formed in 1968. The
group emerged from the popular Offenbach rock and beat band Micky's. After the
original band disbanded due to lack of audience, Dieter Adam came up with the
idea for their breakthrough single "Papa (Mama)", which sold over 150,000 copies
upon its release in 1969. Adam und die Micky’s released around 30 albums over
their four-decade career. Notable works include Oh, Häppy Day, Pappa und andere
hessische Familientragödien and "Im Wagen vor mir… fährt so’n alte Simpel" (a
parody of Henry Valentino's "Im Wage...
