9m88 – born November 20, 1990 in Taipei, Taiwan - is a New York-based neo-soul,
jazz, and pop musician from Taiwan. While she is reluctant to reveal her real
name, she is also referred to as Baba. In college, she majored in fashion design
but eventually focused on music and transferred to The New School for Jazz and
Contemporary Music in New York, New York. Early on, she began to blend different
styles of music and incorporating her fashion background with retro visuals,
