250kg kärlek is a Swedish rock band that originated in 1996. The group writes
songs with socially satirical lyrics in the spirit of Cornelis Vreesvijk and
Magnus Uggla, and its genre-crossing music and ironic lyrics have won it a large
audience of all ages. Its first full-length album, Naken, came out in 1998, and
one of its best-known songs, “Naken”, dates from 1997. The band went on to build
a long discography of EPs, singles and albums, including the compilation Det
bästa med bävern (2006), and kept releasing material through 2018.
